Weird things that guinea pigs do!!!
Some guinea pigs do weird things like run around the cage nonstop or or just go crazy and poop on everything. But the weirdest thing that guinea pigs do is.... They eat their own poop. It is very common to see a guinea pig eat their own poop. They do that because their poop contains vitamin c and since guinea pigs cant produce vitamin c themselves they eat their poop to get extra vitamin c. When i first saw my guinea pig eat his poop i thought "What in the world; why is he eating his poop." Well I did my research and found out that they do that cause they know that their poop still contains vitamin c. There are more weird things that guinea pigs do so I am going to list a few more things. Guinea pigs love running around their cages nonstop. I honestly do not know why they do that but for some reason they do. Another thing is that they popcorn a lot. Popcorn in guinea pig terms is basically, well; you know how popcorn kernels pop in the bag. Well when a guinea pig popcorns that is basically what they do. They will jump around and make weird sounds.
Things to know about guinea pigs
Guinea pigs are herbivores which means they only eat plants. But some plants are poisonous to guinea pigs. If you want to give a guinea pig a certain plant be sure to make sure that it will not hurt or kill the guinea pig. For instance onions are poisonous to guinea pigs. Also guinea pigs are very fragile. So be careful with how you handle them and how you take them out of their cages. Another thing to know about guinea pigs is that they get cold very easily. So don't keep your house too cold or your guinea pig can get a cold. And lastly a guinea pig's paws can get cut very easily. So if you let your guinea pig outside or around the house; be sure too check it's feet for sores or cuts.

How to care for guinea pigs
Proper guinea pig care is very important because if you do not care for guinea pigs the right way they could die. I'm going to list some things you need to know about proper care for guinea pigs.
First, make sure they have plenty of food and hay. Food and hay is one of the most important things for guinea pigs.
Second, make sure your guinea pig has plenty of water. But remember to put vita drops in it. Vita drops have vitamin c in it. It is important to put vita drops in the water because guinea pigs can not produce vitamin c themselves.
Third, they need toys. Toys are important for guinea pigs because it gives them something to chew on and play with make sure it is edible unless it is a run about ball or a running wheel or stuff like that. I would recommend getting them a chew-able wooden tunnel or a fleece tunnel because it gives something to go through and hide in. Also you should get little chew balls which are basically wooden sticks all twisted together with a small treat stuck in the middle.
Fourth, you should trim their nails about 1-2 times a week because if their nails get too long it could hurt their feet and make them ache all over. You should trim their front and back claws.
Fifth, you should check their bodies for sores, cuts or bald spots. If you find any of these rub it with a very mild antiseptic like Neosporin.
Sixth, Check their teeth. Make sure their teeth are not longer than the other or make sure that their teeth are bottom teeth are not grown/pushed against the top teeth. If they are take them to a vet that specializes in exotic pets like guinea pigs. I would NOT recommend you trim their teeth yourself because something can happen and you accidentally cut their tongue or jaw.
Seventh, make sure that they have plenty of attention. If you want your guinea pig to trust you and get to know you; you need to give plenty of love attention. One way to do that is to take them out of their cage and give them lap time. Lap time is basically putting a pillow or something very soft on your lap and letting the guinea pig walk on your lap. There is also floor time. Floor time is when you put toys on the floor and a play pen if the open floor is not safe and let it do what it wants on the floor i would recommend putting a blanket on the floor so the guinea pig does not pee and poop on the floor. Make sure they have toys in their cages as well.

Guinea pig treats
There are all sorts of treats you can give to your guinea pigs. But I'm only going to list a few. The first treat I am going to list is orange yogurt vita drop treats. These are really sweet but not all guinea pigs like these. There is also the yogurt pretzel. Basically these are hardened yogurt in the shape of pretzels. Also there are doughnut biscuits with yogurt. These are very sweet to the guinea pigs so they will love them. My guinea pig really loves them. And the last thing I am going to list is dried carrots dipped with timothy hay. These are not as sweet as some treats so your guinea pig might not like them at first but, if you keep trying to give it to them they will eventually get used to them, unless your guinea pig doesn't like it. Please comment if you have questions on anything.

That was one of my guinea pig's favorite treats until i introduced him to the carrot. Guinea pigs really love lettuce. If you have a guinea pig remember to give them lettuce . The most important thing to remember is the hay. Guinea pigs love timothy hay so never forget the hay. That is probably their favorite things to eat .
