Things to know about guinea pigs

Guinea pigs are herbivores which means they only eat plants. But some plants are poisonous to guinea pigs.   If you want to give a guinea pig a certain plant be sure to make sure that it will not hurt or kill the guinea pig. For instance onions are poisonous to guinea pigs. Also guinea pigs are very fragile. So be careful with how you handle them and how you take them out of their cages. Another thing to know about guinea pigs is that they get cold very easily. So don't keep your house too cold or your guinea pig can get a cold. And lastly a guinea pig's paws can get cut very easily. So if you let your guinea pig outside or around the house; be sure too check it's feet for sores or cuts.
